Solo FPS project created within an 4 week period.
Lancer is a first-person shooter where the player is tasked with battling through one ship across two different time periods. It was created for a University module, where I was provided a basic framework which included some basic functioning elements.

From this I expanded the project, implementing a full quest, desinging additional mechanics, weapons and enemy behaviours.
Gameplay
- For Lancer I designed a suite of weapons each suited to different gameplay scenarios and each introduced with a mathcing gameplay scenario where that weapon is most effective.
- Created two complex levels one in the "present" and the other in the "past". The player may "switch" worlds manually and must do so in order to progress through the game.
- Created a modular quest system using components, interfaces and event dispatchers, allowing for a fast and effective workflow.

Documentation
- Created design diagrams depcting the intended functionality for all abilities and weapons intended for the game.
- Created level design documentation including beats and pacing maps, bubble paths, golden path maps.
- Ran playtesting sessions to gather feedback to help identify areas for iteration.
